Excellent Timing

Just a few days ago, I was waiting in the school lobby for my mom to pick me up, when something happened to brighten up what had been a rather uneventful day.

Owing to the fact that my mom usually gets to school about twenty minutes later than her estimated time of arrival, I sat down on one of the benches, retrieved a Social Studies textbook from the recesses of my school bag, and began to (try to) read. Two lines later, my eyelids were threatening to shut, when I felt someone standing in front of me. I looked up, only to see a little primary school girl dressed in her blue uniform. I felt quite embarrassed actually, since she'd probably seen the usual head jerking movement I do when I'm trying to study but am falling asleep at the same time, but she didn't seem to mind, and immediately asked me for the time. Appearing satisfied with my answer of , "Oh, 3.25", she thanked me and walked off. And so, I resumed my studying attempt.

Five minutes later, the little girl appeared in front of me again, smiling, as she thrust something in my face and told me that it was to thank me for telling her the time. Then she promptly turned around and dashed off (though luckily I managed to thank her before that). Looking down at my hand to see what she had given me, I realised it was this -

Hahaha! How sweet! (:

HAHA! So THAT's why you were waving the Neopets card around! I thought you'd suddenly recovered your inner child... Or stole your brother/sister's cards, being the evil thing you are. HAHA, kidding!
